MEET THE STORYTELLER

ONE DOESN'T STOP SEEING. ONE DOESN'T STOP FRAMING. IT DOESN'T TURN OFF AND TURN ON.
IT'S ON ALL THE TIME. - ANNIE LEIBOVITZ

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO WORK WITH ME:

In all things photography, I spend time getting to know my subjects/clients/future friends, so that the scene is set for them to be at ease, enjoy our time together, and let their true selves be seen for me to capture. It's pretty amazing to at times work with the same people for all of their life moments. We learn each other and know what to expect while building a special bond. That is why when I get hired, it's usually for life.

What I want people to remember most about working with me, besides how difficult my name was, is that they felt secure, seen, and worthy, just the way they were.

my PHOTOGRAPHic roots:

The love for photography ended up in my heart via my husband and it took root. I was self-taught and plunged head-first into mastering this beast of an art. For most of the last decade I was a natural-light photographer, but then studio was required for a session and my LIFE CHANGED. Now I love to create with my professional lighting tools wherever and whenever. I was also a professional custom-framer, for about the same amount of time, and have since married those two passions, wall art and photography.

my camera's stomping grounds:

I am a born and bred North Houstonian! I shoot all over this great big city, and the surrounding suburbs but have also traveled for clients, including a wedding in gorgeous Colorado. As of December, I now have a private studio space inside of The Creative Chateau to call my own when needed.

personal tidbits:

I have three little humans, 9, 7, 1, and a pretty cute rock of a hubby. We live a simple life with tons of chaos, Jesus, chicken nuggets and the occasional Old Fashioned to balance all the things out. Let's see, oh yes...I am an enneagram 9, play the violin, LOVE a good period film/series, I'm a classically trained singer, I'm still not sure what the big deal is about peanut butter, and I'm an autism mom.

I can't wait to learn more about you!
